Is compensation mandatory for internships abroad?
There is no legal obligation to provide compensation (remuneration, remuneration) for internships abroad. Due to the principle of territoriality in French law, it is not possible to require a foreign host organization to provide compensation (remuneration, remuneration). Therefore, any compensation (remuneration, remuneration) for the intern is left to the discretion of the host organization, regardless of the internship's duration.
